Composite Fillings
Composite fillings are a great alternative to traditional, metal mercury-amalgam fillings. They are custom made to match your existing teeth, which makes them more aesthetically pleasing. If you have a cavity, opting for composite fillings will ensure that your smile is seamless even after your treatment.
Mercury-Amalgam Fillings
Mercury-amalgam fillings use a special blend of mercury, silver, and other compounds. Amalgam fillings have been used for decades, and they provide great protection after a tooth has been damaged by a cavity. We often use mercury-amalgam fillings for pediatric patients who have cavities in their primary teeth.
Lab-Made Dental Crowns
Crowns are typically used to treat serious cavities and infected teeth after a root canal, but they can also be used for cosmetic purposes, to cover up damaged, stained, or misshapen teeth.
Dental crowns are also sometimes called “caps.” This is because they cap your entire tooth and protect the underlying enamel from further damage.
During this procedure, Dr. Kelly will remove any damaged enamel from your tooth and work with an outside dental laboratory to create a crown that will cover your tooth perfectly. Your crown will be built out of porcelain and will look and feel just like a natural tooth, and it will protect the remaining enamel from further damage and deterioration.
Partial Dentures
If you have one or more missing teeth, partial dentures are usually the most affordable way to restore your smile. There are many different types of partial dentures, but each option includes a dental prosthetic that attaches to your remaining healthy teeth to replace your missing teeth, which allows you to speak, chew, and smile naturally.
Full Arch Dentures
Full arch dentures are typically only used when most or all of your teeth have been damaged or destroyed by periodontal disease, tooth decay, or an oral injury. This is because all of your remaining teeth must be extracted before you can get a full arch of dentures.
Full arch dentures can be made for the upper, lower, or both arches of your teeth. Dentures typically fit directly onto your gums and stay in place due to friction, but dental adhesive can also be used to keep them in place.
