Teeth Whitening

We offer professional, at-home teeth whitening kits at Delafield Family Dental. At-home teeth whitening allows you to treat yourself on your own terms, and on your own schedule. Best of all, it delivers the same results as in-office whitening over a longer time period, which makes your treatment more subtle. This means that nobody has to know that you’ve had your teeth whitened!

To get started, just come in for an appointment. Dr. Kelly will take impressions of your teeth, and provide you with a set of custom-built whitening trays, and professional-grade whitening products. Then, just follow her treatment instructions, and you’ll have whiter teeth within just a few weeks.

Bonding, Shaping, Contouring

Dental bonding is a great way to rebuild a chipped or slightly damaged tooth or restore a tooth that is misshapen or otherwise unsightly. During this procedure, Dr. Kelly applies a special dental resin to the tooth and sculpts it to correct its shape and appearance. Then, the resin is hardened using a UV light, and the tooth is polished and cleaned.

Along with bonding, shaping and contouring can be used to trim away small amounts of enamel from the surrounding teeth. This allows you to achieve a straighter, more even smile, often in just a single appointment.

Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers use small, wafer-thin ceramic “shells” to cover up the front chewing surface of your teeth and cover up cosmetic flaws like serious stains, chips, gaps in the teeth, and other issues. They are bonded into place permanently, and can last anywhere from 10-20 years, making them one of the best long-term solutions for cosmetic dental issues.

Lumineers

Lumineers are an alternative to traditional porcelain veneers. Traditional veneers are typically irreversible because a small amount of tooth enamel must be removed during the procedure to make room for the veneers to be applied.  

In contrast, Lumineers use a special porcelain ceramic material which is only about as thick as a contact lens. In many cases, Lumineers can be applied with very little trimming, or no trimming at all, in some cases. If you’d like porcelain veneers, but you are uncomfortable with the fact that a traditional veneer procedure cannot be reversed, Lumineers may be right for you.
